Septic Repairs in South Haven, MI

Whatever turned up when somebody finally opened the tank.

★ 5.0 on Google · Licensed MI septage hauler SH-1614 · Insured · Veteran owned, since 2001

Baffles, filters, lids and risers we handle ourselves, and plenty of it turns up while we are pumping. New systems and drain fields we hand to a company we trust, and we make the call for you rather than sending you off to find someone.

A dug-out septic tank opened up for cleaning

How do I know if the baffle or the filter is the problem?

From inside the house they feel the same: things drain slowly or back up. The difference shows at the tank. A failed baffle lets solids ride out toward the drain field, which is the expensive direction, and a clogged filter just holds everything back, which is annoying but cheap.

We do not ask you to diagnose it. When we open a tank we look at both, and most of the filter cleanings we do started as something we spotted during a routine pump-out and asked about while the lid was already off. A problem we spot during a scheduled pump-out costs you the repair and nothing else.

What septic repairs do you do yourselves?

Baffles, filters, lids and risers. A lot of it turns up while we are already pumping, which is the cheapest time to find it, because the tank is open and we are standing there. If we spot a filter, we will ask whether you want it cleaned before we close it up.

Filters are the one people are surprised by. We do not run into them often around here, but when we do they are usually the reason the house is draining slowly.

Is there any septic work you do not do?

New systems and drain fields. We could say yes and then call somebody, and instead we tell you up front that we hand those to a company we trust, and we make the call for you rather than sending you off to find a stranger. Same with installs.

If it lives in the tank, it is ours. If it is the field or a new system, we will get you to somebody good.

How much does septic repairs cost?

Septic repairs gets quoted on the phone before the truck rolls, because tank depth and access change it. Our published rates, including 35 cents a gallon pumping, are on the prices page.
