"This is the second time we have have used this service. I refuse to use anybody else now. EXCELLENT service. 😎"
We rent porta potties and pump septic tanks across Covert and the rest of Van Buren County, out of one yard in Grand Junction.
Covert is a farm town, big for blueberries, sitting on the shore side between South Haven and Hartford. For us it is farm crews first: units in the fields through picking season with wash stations alongside where the crews handle fresh fruit. It is rural township all around, which means septic tanks, and our South Haven route runs right past it every week.

M-140 carries you through Covert between South Haven and Watervliet, with blueberry fields running along both sides of it.
Blueberry farm crews, a short run down the shore side from South Haven. $150 a weekend.

Reserve a UnitRural township in every direction, which means tanks, and the South Haven route passes it weekly. 35¢ a gallon, published.
Book a Pump-OutBoth numbers hold everywhere the truck goes, so a Covert job costs what a Grand Junction job costs, with the 16-mile drive baked into the price instead of added to it. In blueberry harvest the blueberry crews take most of the fleet out this way, so weekend units for Covert parties book best a couple of weeks ahead. Everything else about the money is on the prices page, and the booking form texts our phones in the field.
Covert sits 16 road miles from the yard on the home-county runs, and what we mostly haul out here is farm and septic work. Weekend units go out on Fridays, cleanings run on the weekly route, and a septic call gets folded into the next pass rather than waiting for a special trip.
Out here the busy stretch is blueberry harvest. Fields get the pickup and tank trailer instead of the big truck, so the ground your crew works on stays workable.

There is no state septic code in Michigan. For Covert the authority is Van Buren/Cass District Health Department, and that is not a technicality. It makes "what does the county require" a question with teeth rather than a formality.
It applies to Covert addresses on tanks, which out here is most of them. Median construction of 1977 puts most of these tanks well into their service life. Section 4-8 of the district code is explicit: permits are not transferable from person to person, and a new permit is required for each new owner of a premises with a sewage disposal system.
Rule from Van Buren/Cass District Health Department, (269) 621-3143. Counties revise these, so confirm anything tied to a closing. Michigan has no statewide code to override it, per Michigan Advance.
What leaves a tank follows from the house on top of it. Median construction around here is 1977. The Census publishes no Covert-level housing file, so these are the Van Buren County figures and Covert sits inside them.
| Fact | Van Buren County | In practice |
|---|---|---|
| Median year built | 1977 | Housing of that vintage is on its second or third owner, and tank records rarely survive the handoffs. |
| Housing units | 37,243 | A large housing base, where the septic work concentrates outside the sewered core. |
| Median home value | $189,900 | Ordinary household budgets, where a published per-gallon rate matters more than a glossy truck. |
| Sewer status | rural | The Covert area is served by tanks rather than a municipal line. |
Source for the housing rows: US Civic Data, American Community Survey. The sewer row is 25 years of route knowledge.

$150 for a weekend, and monthly rentals are available with a weekly cleaning, call for availability. Most of what we set around Covert is farm units in the blueberries, 16 miles out from the yard. The one extra charge that exists is a $50 additional clean, and the rest is on the prices page.
35 cents a gallon, so a common 1,000 gallon tank runs $350, and the 16 road miles from our yard are already inside the price. Covert for us is mostly rural addresses, which is tank country. Digging a buried lid or locating a lost tank is quoted before the truck rolls, and rates are on the prices page.
No, as long as we can find the tank and reach the lid. Plenty of customers leave the gate open and hear from us when it is done. The truck is coming 16 miles off 104th Ave, usually on a farm run, so first visits are easier with you there, to find things once.
Pick flat ground the truck can back up to. Shade is a bonus in July. The farm lanes around Covert, blueberries mostly, get serviced with the pickup and tank trailer, so the rows your crew works stay drivable.
Two to three weeks in season for septic, and weekend units are Friday drops. The crunch here is blueberry harvest, so call when you know your date.
We are in Grand Junction, about 16 miles from Covert, on the same runs as our farm and septic work. No other company with an actual yard is closer to Covert, and we are the only ones around here with prices on the website.
We do, at one unit per 20 workers with separate men's and women's units. The calculator on the farm requirements page sizes your crew. Around Covert that means blueberries, and the crews that work them.
Yes. Winter is slower, so the Covert routes have room. The treatment is rated for freezing, cleaning stays weekly, and we only ask that the truck can get to the door.
Van Buren/Cass District Health Department covers Covert, (269) 621-3143. That is because Michigan is the only state in the country with no statewide septic code, so every rule is a county rule, and an answer from the next county over may not apply at your address.
We explain this on Covert calls most weeks. Section 4-8 of the district code is explicit: permits are not transferable from person to person, and a new permit is required for each new owner of a premises with a sewage disposal system. Our septic side handles that work, and the septic page covers it.
Yes. Covert is one ZIP, 49043, and we cover it. It is about 23 road miles from the yard. If your address sits just past a town line, call anyway, because the lines and the routes do not agree.
Right next door sits porta potty rental in South Haven, 8 miles over, plus Coloma porta potties, Bangor porta potties, Hartford porta potties, and the county-by-county list is on the service areas page.
Yes. Beyond Covert, our Van Buren County work runs through Grand Junction, South Haven, Bangor, Gobles, Bloomingdale and more, and Covert sits 16 road miles into that ring, a stretch we cross most during blueberry harvest. Every town is on the service areas hub, and if yours is not named, call.
The family farm on 104th Ave in Grand Junction, 16 road miles from Covert, a run we drive hardest during blueberry harvest. The address sets the routes, which is why Van Buren County gets us so often. More on the about page.
The form reaches our phones on the road. A message gets a call back the same day.
